Vitamin C Serum is a 98% naturally derived, 20% vitamin C serum built on sodium ascorbyl phosphate rather than free ascorbic acid. The formula runs on an aloe barbadensis leaf base with MSM (methylsulfonylmethane), cassia angustifolia seed polysaccharide as a botanical hyaluronic acid, witch hazel, arginine, kosher vegetable glycerin, jojoba oil, vitamin E as d-alpha tocopheryl acetate, and extracts of gotu kola, geranium, and dandelion. Two ounces.
The vitamin C form is the interesting decision. Free ascorbic acid is potent but notoriously unstable - it oxidizes in the bottle and turns brown, which is why so many vitamin C serums disappoint by month two. Sodium ascorbyl phosphate is a stable derivative that trades some immediacy for a serum that survives its own shelf life. Cassia angustifolia polysaccharide is a plant-derived humectant used as an alternative to conventional hyaluronic acid, and gotu kola has a long history in traditional skincare.
98% naturally derived with a stable vitamin C serves the clean-beauty customer without the oxidation problem that plagues the category. Apply a few drops to clean skin morning or evening, before moisturizer.
